Q. I need some good verses to show my friend who was a strong believer in the Lord but has let the world take him away and not is not going to church and doing things that he knows are not good and show him that god still loves him. Basically I need good verses that can wake him up,that show Gods love, mercy, and forginvess, and verses that can get him thinking.

A. You want to show your friend that “God still loves him” but how do you know if God loves him or not? Since he has gone back to the world he probably never was saved and therefore God never loved him. But he was under God’s wrath and anger. We can never witness to a person by telling them God loves them. We can ask them: “Does God Love you?” 2ndly, don’t feel sorry for your friend if he left the church----that actually could be a great blessing to your friend because God is finished with the churches. The age of the church has come to an end and God is not blessing or saving anyone within the churches of the world today. By leaving the church your friend is now in a place (outside the church) wherein it is possible for God to work in his life.
